Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a fixed (non-removable) replacement for your missing teeth. Dr. Addyson England may recommend a dental bridge if you have lost a single tooth or several teeth in a row.

Dental bridges work to:

  • Close the gap in your smile
  • Prevent your remaining teeth from shifting out of place
  • Restore your bite
  • Restore your ability to chew and speak normally
  • Relieve stress on your bite
  • Support the natural contours of your face

A dental bridge consists of a prosthetic tooth or teeth anchored to two dental crowns on either side of the gap in your smile. The crowns fit over these adjacent teeth to provide stability for the replacement tooth or teeth. Your dental bridge may also be anchored by an implant.

Traditionally, at least two appointments are needed to complete a dental bridge. At Copper Mountain Dental, we use CEREC technology to complete your treatment in a single appointment. Our dentist will prepare the teeth on either side of the gap to receive crowns. We will then use our CEREC technology to create a 3D model of your teeth, which we will then use to design the bridge and anchoring crowns. After these restorations have been created, we will place the bridge in your mouth to finish restoring your smile.
